MultiPath is a Quintum term.  MultiPath switches have both FXS and FXO interfaces, and are designed to be placed between an existing PBX and its analogue telephone lines.  It can be programmed to intelligently breakout calls onto Voice over IP.  By using a MultiPath switch, corporate customers can benefit from the lower calling rates offered by DUAL Talk, without making any changes to their PBXs or exchange lines.
